HR Manager (Johor)

An exciting HR Manager role is available with a leading MNC company based in Johor.

The HR & Admin Manager will oversee the Human Resources and Administrative functions at the manufacturing plant. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, training, compliance, and administrative services. The HR & Admin Manager will work closely with the HRBP at Divisional level and Site GM to align plant HR strategies with corporate goals. The position will be based at IMS Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and employee development.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with government agencies and third-party providers to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to foreign workers
  • Oversee the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies
  • Manage payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the Workday HRMS system.
  • Train and support staff in the use of the Workday system
  • Ensure data integrity and accurate reporting from the HRMS
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective employee relations strategies
  • Address and resolve employee grievances and disputes
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and performance
  • Implement and manage the performance appraisal process
  • Develop and monitor performance improvement plans
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and reports to provide insights into HR activities and performance

To succeed in this HR Manager role, you will need to possess a strong stakeholder engagement capabilities and have the passion to transform HR as a function to enable the business grow further.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (master's degree is preferred)
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Experience in talent acquisition, employee development, and performance management
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits administration
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
