An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Country Human Resources Manager to lead our human resources function in Malaysia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of local labour laws and regulations.

This role is pivotal in implementing HR strategies, policies, and programmes that align with the company’s objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.

What you'll do:

As the Country Human Resources Manager, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of our organisation. You will be responsible for developing HR strategies that align with our business goals, overseeing talent acquisition efforts to attract top talent, implementing performance management systems to drive continuous improvement, fostering a positive work environment through effective employee relations programmes, managing competitive compensation and benefits packages, identifying training needs to enhance employee skills, ensuring compliance with local laws through robust HR policies, and leveraging HR analytics to inform decision-making. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, empathy, commitment, trust, understanding, warmth, enthusiasm, sharing - all while ensuring we remain compliant with local labour laws.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
  • Foster a positive working environment through effective employee relations programmes.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programmes to ensure they are competitive and aligned with company policies.

What you bring:

The ideal Country Human Resources Manager will bring a wealth of experience in HR management within Malaysia. You will have proven expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations, underpinned by a deep understanding of Malaysian labour laws and HR best practices. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships across the organisation, while your leadership abilities will inspire your team to deliver exceptional results. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential, as is Mandarin speaking proficiency to collaborate with counterparts from China.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Mandarin speaking proficiency to collaborate with counterparts from China
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of HR management experience, preferably in Malaysia.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
