A seasoned Human Resources Business Partner job has just become available at a global logistic & supply chainc company in Penang.

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join their team in Penang. This role is integral to aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, providing performance management guidance, and interpreting HR policies for line supervisors and managers. This role will be a regional coverage for Malaysia & Singapore with key involvement in Global HR initiatives.

What you’ll do:

As a Human Resources Business Partner, your primary responsibility will be aligning HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs.

  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance and HR policy interpretation to line supervisors and managers
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their hiring requirements and manage the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Manage, participate and review salary benching, annual increment, bonus, and allowance structure, ensuring all compensation and benefits strategies remains relevant and competitive while maintaining internal equity
  • Handle employee relations including grievance handling, investigation, and disciplinary action
  • Review and improve HR workflow, policies, and procedures, roll out productivity initiatives to motivate employees and drive business performance
  • Drive and coordinate employee engagement and wellness activities

What you bring:

The ideal Human Resources Business Partner not only bring strong stakeholder management skills, also with the capability to communicate, facilitate and present effectively. You must also possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resource related discipline
  • At least 2 years (junior executive) or 4 years (senior executive) of HR Generalist experience
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure and when faced with competing priorities.
  • Possess an agile mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Good command of written and spoken English, also strong in Malay speaking
