A leading organisation in Shah Alam is seeking an Assistant Manager Compensation and Benefits to join their Human Resources team. This role offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping compensation and benefits programmes that are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will be empowered to support the design, implementation, and administration of these programmes, ensuring they meet both regulatory requirements and employee needs.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Manager Compensation and Benefits based in Shah Alam, you will be entrusted with supporting the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programmes that drive employee engagement.

  • Assist in developing and administering comprehensive compensation programmes including salary structures, incentive plans, and performance management systems that align with organisational goals.
  • Conduct detailed job evaluations, salary surveys, and market analyses to ensure equitable compensation practices across all levels of the business.
  • Support the annual salary review process by coordinating merit increases and bonus distributions while providing guidance to managers on related matters.
  • Manage and administer employee benefits programmes such as health insurance, dental coverage, vision plans, life insurance, retirement schemes, and wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations and policies pertaining to employee benefits through regular monitoring and updates.
  • Coordinate effectively with benefits vendors and brokers to resolve employee issues promptly and enhance service delivery standards.
  • Conduct informative benefits orientations for new hires and provide ongoing support to employees regarding their benefits options throughout their tenure.
  • Analyse compensation and benefits data using HR systems to identify trends, issues, or opportunities for improvement within the organisation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on compensation and benefits metrics for presentation to senior management, ensuring accuracy and integrity of all data.
  • Assist in developing robust policies and procedures for compensation and benefits while keeping abreast of industry trends to maintain competitiveness.

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Manager Compensation and Benefits in Shah Alam, you bring proven experience managing compensation structures alongside benefit offerings within a large-scale organisation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required for this position (CGPA must be 3.3 above)
  • A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in compensation and benefits administration demonstrates your dependability in managing complex HR functions.
  • Strong analytical skills enable you to interpret intricate data sets related to compensation trends or benefit utilisation.
  • Excellent communication abilities allow you to present findings clearly to senior management while offering empathetic support to employees.
  • Proficiency in HR systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Excel—ensures accurate reporting of metrics.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing compensation and benefits helps maintain compliance across all programmes.
  • Attention to detail ensures accuracy when evaluating jobs or processing salary reviews within HR databases.
  • Organisational skills empower you to manage multiple priorities efficiently without compromising quality or deadlines.
