What you'll do:
As a Medical Diagnostics Sales Executive based in Kota Damansara, you will be at the forefront of introducing advanced diagnostic technologies to healthcare providers. Your day-to-day activities will involve engaging with a broad spectrum of medical professionals ranging from clinicians to laboratory technologists to understand their needs and present tailored solutions from the company’s portfolio of IVD and POCT products. You will play an integral part in negotiating contracts or tenders by maintaining open lines of communication with stakeholders throughout the process. By providing attentive after-sales support and leveraging your ability to convert leads into loyal customers, you will help drive business growth while ensuring positive experiences for every client. Your responsibilities will also include conducting thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor movements. - Present, demonstrate, and promote all in vitro diagnostic (IVD) and point-of-care testing (POCT) products represented by the company to both existing and potential customers according to specific product-related market segments.
- Organise appointments and meetings with a wide array of healthcare professionals including clinicians, emergency physicians, endocrinologists, cardiologists, haematologists, anaesthesiologists, paediatricians, pathologists, pharmacists, point-of-care coordinators, scientific officers, medical lab technologists, matrons, sisters, purchasers, and more.
- Negotiate contract terms or tenders with relevant parties while following up diligently until agreements are successfully closed.
- Provide high-quality and prompt after-sales service to customers to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty.
- Convert cold calls into leads and subsequently generate new sales opportunities through proactive outreach.
- Acquire new customers while maximising sales with existing clients and retaining key accounts through regular engagement and support.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database for effective account management and follow-up activities.
- Conduct market surveys as well as customer feedback initiatives; monitor competitor activities including strategies, personnel changes, pricing adjustments, and leverage this intelligence to maximise sales growth.
- Develop GAP strategies such as growing existing accounts, converting competitors’ clients, and penetrating new markets to achieve ambitious sales targets.
- Generate SWOT analyses and competitor comparisons to inform strategic decision-making while reporting daily on all visitations using CRM tools.

- Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Science or any equivalent field of study which provides a strong foundation for understanding complex diagnostic products.
- Have a minimum of one year’s experience working in sales or marketing within the medical device or pharmaceutical distribution industry where you have demonstrated your ability to build rapport with healthcare professionals.
- Show genuine interest in science along with the capacity to quickly grasp scientific concepts as well as interpret technical data relevant to diagnostic solutions.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities coupled with strong interpersonal skills that enable you to connect effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrate active listening skills alongside articulate communication when interacting with clients or colleagues from various backgrounds.
- Display respect for deadlines by managing your time efficiently while balancing multiple priorities without compromising on quality or accuracy.
- Be proficient in computer literacy including MS Office applications, databases management systems, efficient online research techniques which are essential for modern sales operations.
