What you'll do:
As a Key Account Executive Over The Counter Pharmaceuticals, you will play an integral role in driving the success of well-established healthcare brands throughout your designated region. Your day-to-day activities will involve building trusted relationships with pharmacy teams by delivering informative product presentations that highlight unique benefits. You will be responsible for identifying new business prospects through careful analysis of sales data while ensuring that merchandising efforts maximise visibility for key products. By collaborating closely with internal departments such as marketing and regulatory teams and participating in industry events you will remain at the forefront of market developments. Success in this position requires you to balance administrative responsibilities like reporting with proactive fieldwork that includes customer visits, training sessions, and strategic planning. - Promote and detail a comprehensive range of OTC pharmaceutical products to targeted pharmacists, store managers, and store assistants within assigned territories.
- Achieve or exceed individual monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by cultivating new customers and expanding existing accounts.
- Conduct engaging product knowledge sessions and sales training programmes for pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals to foster a positive environment for brand recommendations.
- Negotiate optimal shelf space for key brands, arrange impactful window and in-store displays, and ensure merchandising materials are effectively placed and maintained.
- Analyse sales data using digital tools to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic action plans for territory growth.
- Assess customer value biannually using established criteria, plan call patterns efficiently, and organise outstation trips as required by management expectations.
- Complete timely weekly or monthly reports on activities and expenses; ensure all orders are processed electronically each day for seamless logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate electronic profiles for each customer in the territory database while providing insightful market intelligence reports as needed by management.
- Participate actively in trade shows, public forums, sales meetings, cycle meetings, and both national and international conferences to stay connected with industry trends.
- Utilise trial size products and marketing materials strategically to increase brand awareness among medical professionals and consumers; report on their impact regularly.

- Competence in basic writing skills necessary for preparing reports, correspondence with stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records.
- Analytical abilities that support effective interpretation of sales data using Microsoft Office tools or proprietary systems like OCE.
- Understanding of retail pharmacy business processes gained through at least two years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is advantageous but not mandatory if offset by strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of achieving ambitious sales goals or targets within previous roles demonstrates your dependability as a results-oriented team member.
- Experience interacting with health professionals is essential as it underpins your ability to build rapport quickly within this specialised sector.
- Willingness to travel interstate or overseas up to 10 times per year including after hours or weekends as required by business needs.
