Our client is seeking a highly experienced Sales Manager with a focus on diabetes care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the sales strategy for a leading healthcare business in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business objectives and overseeing distribution channels. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong sales background and a deep understanding of the local market.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Manager specialising in Diabetes Care, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the sales strategy for our client's healthcare business in Malaysia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing key customer relationships, overseeing distribution channels, and driving business objectives. You will also be tasked with identifying key influencers within the Malaysian market, ensuring the implementation of high-impact programs in Key Accounts, and delivering on profitability targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can navigate complex commercial processes while maintaining a focus on achieving results.

  • Recommend and implement overall sales strategies, including channel and distributor management
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of associates to achieve business outcomes
  • Ensure implementation of high impact programs in Key Accounts
  • Identify and build relations with key influencers within Malaysia
  • Meet annual business growth and profitability targets
  • Deliver Standard Gross Profit targets through optimising product mix and channel/customer mix
  • Work through existing distributor team and support them in retail demand creation
  • Contribute to the design of appropriate sales processes and implement it within the country
  • Responsible for the Supply and Operation Planning process
  • Deliver milestones of projects assigned by Business Leader or Regional Management

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Sales Manager position will bring extensive experience in sales and key account management within the medical devices or consumer healthcare industry. With at least 15 years' experience under your belt, including 8 years in a managerial role, you have proven expertise in channel management and are known for your strong analytical abilities. Your excellent communication skills enable you to build strong relationships with key influencers within the Malaysian market. A willingness to travel locally is also essential for this role.

  • Degree in Medical, Science, Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years sales and key account management experience with 2 years in a managerial role in medical devices, diabetes care or consumer healthcare industry
  • Extensive knowledge of local country's healthcare markets and practices
  • Proven expertise in channel and key account management
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Willingness to travel locally
