They are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join their dynamic team in Petaling Jaya. This role offers the opportunity to work with top pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, delivering best-in-class MedComms services. You will act as a strategic communications partner to clients.

What you'll do:

As a Key Account Manager, your role will be pivotal in understanding client needs and proposing innovative multi-channel medical communications solutions. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to manage and deliver projects effectively, surpassing client expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities and provide tailored consultancy on strategic MedComms solutions. Your leadership skills will inspire operational teams to excel in delivery and relationship building with clients. Additionally, you will contribute to the overall business growth by supporting new business development activities.

  • Enable the effective management of client accounts to achieve business and financial objectives.
  • Lead value-add client discussions based on strong understanding of their business goals, therapeutic areas, and market dynamics.
  • Identify new opportunities and solutions beyond immediate project needs and proactively propose to clients.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key clients and maintain a deep understanding of their needs.
  • Ensure systems and processes are implemented for efficient delivery to the highest standards.
  • Plan, monitor, and deliver integrated projects covering various aspects of medical communication.
  • Maintain a holistic knowledge of the industry to channel new ideas into the team.
  • Support new business development activities to ensure continued growth of key accounts.

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Key Account Manager position, you bring along significant experience in account management or client success within a healthcare communications agency or similar environment. Your excellent communication skills coupled with your ability to negotiate effectively make you an asset in building and managing high-value client relationships. Your expertise in project management, budgeting, and financial forecasting will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Your creative thinking and problem-solving abilities will enable you to propose innovative solutions to meet client objectives. Your proactive nature and self-motivation will drive you to exceed expectations.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in account management or client success in a healthcare communications agency or similar environment.
  • A life science degree or a degree in Marcom communications is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-value client relationships.
  • Expertise in project management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Highly organized and efficient with a keen eye for detail.
  • Creative thinker and resourceful problem solver.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
