Our client is seeking a Lead Medical Writer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to create high-quality content tailored to address the medical communications objectives of various partners. The successful candidate will have the chance to engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across various therapeutic areas and play a crucial role in business development and client engagement.
What you'll do:
As a Lead Medical Writer, you will be at the forefront of creating high-quality content for MedComms tailored solutions. Your deep scientific understanding of clients' brand portfolios will enable you to provide insightful advice on MedComms solutions. You will also play a pivotal role in supporting business development and client engagement by working closely with Business Managers on proposal development. Your ability to cultivate strong relationships with commercial and medical contacts will be key to your success. Furthermore, you will liaise with KOLs across various therapeutic areas, ensuring the scientific rigor of all materials/projects involving them.
- Acquire and maintain a deep scientific understanding of clients' brand portfolios
- Use scientific knowledge to create high-quality content while adhering to compliance and editorial quality standards
- Review output of Medical Writers in your key account team/s to assure scientific accuracy and quality output
- Work with Business Managers on the development of proposals, providing scientific expertise and guidance
- Cultivate strong relationships with client’s commercial and medical contacts through credibility demonstrated by medical marketing and medical communication knowledge
- Liaise with KOLs in faculty management for events, symposia, roundtables and other meetings across a range of therapeutic areas
- Train and coach Senior Medical Writers and Medical Writers on the scientific aspects of assigned accounts
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Lead Medical Writer position brings a wealth of experience in scientific/medical writing within a MedComms agency or pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting. Your graduate degree in the sciences, coupled with your ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear messages, will be invaluable in this role. Your experience running or facilitating advisory boards, scientific meetings, webinars, etc., demonstrates your ability to engage with various stakeholders. Your fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for this role.
- Graduate degree in the sciences; healthcare science degree a plus
- At least 6 years of scientific/medical writing experience, preferably in a MedComms agency or pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting
- Experience in running or facilitating advisory boards, scientific meetings, webinars, etc.
- Complete fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear, concise messages
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
