The successful candidate will be incorporated into the Clinical Medical Regulatory department, a pivotal function that facilitates business strategy through Clinical Research and Medical Affairs. You will offer scientific expertise, and expedite the implementation of clinical trials related to Emerging Therapy Areas.

What you'll do:

As a Principal Clinical Medical Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing a team of Clinical Medical Managers, acting as their regional point of contact. You will identify key players within pertinent therapy areas, nurturing relationships that will aid in the execution of clinical trials. Your expertise will be vital in discussing early development data with external medical professionals, ensuring optimal trial conduct. Furthermore, you'll contribute to the success of phase II-IV clinical trials, driving scientific discussions at site selection and initiation visits. Lastly, you'll provide invaluable guidance and training to your team, ensuring they possess the skills necessary to excel in their roles.

  • Oversee Clinical Medical Managers in your region by serving as regional point of contact for them in relevant area.
  • Identify and map Key Opinion Leaders, investigators, and research centres within the pertinent therapy areas.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical operations teams during the feasibility and allocation process.
  • Gather and discuss relevant early development data with external medical and scientific experts.
  • Contribute to delivering successful clinical trials (phase II-IV) in collaboration with clinical operations.
  • Provide timely medical guidance and internal training by assisting training creation and coordinating training of CMMs and clinical staff.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Principal Clinical Medical Manager role will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. With an MD or Ph.D. in healthcare, you'll have a robust clinical and research background that will be invaluable in this role. Your solid 5 years or more of experience in the clinical or pharmaceutical industry will provide you with the understanding necessary to navigate the complexities of drug development processes. As an experienced people manager, you'll know how to lead and inspire your team to achieve their best. Your expertise in relevant therapeutic areas, demonstrated by authorship in peer-reviewed journals, will be crucial in driving scientific discussions and contributing to successful clinical trials.

  • MD or Ph.D. in healthcare with a robust clinical and preferably research background.
  • Minimum solid 5 years or more of clinical or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development processes.
  • Relevant experience as clinical trial investigator or sub-investigator is preferred; experience from Medical Affairs function preferred; experienced people manager.
  • Expertise in the therapeutic area of relevance, preferably with authorship in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Understanding of the specificities and nuances of the local healthcare infrastructure.
