An exciting New Product Development Scientist job has become available at a world-renowned pharmaceutical company in Malaysia.
About the New Product Development Scientist Role:
The role is responsible for the development and implementation of all new product launches and marketing strategy towards achieving sales objectives, profit margin, and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and coordinate new product development and existing product improvement for the business unit, aiming at increasing consumer preference and nutritional competitiveness at optimum cost
- Drive establishment and management of innovation pipelines and portfolio with the Business Executive Manager
- Be the key driver for consumer insight establishment, maintenance and development, in particular for innovations
- Plan, direct and control implementation of new products development project portfolio to ensure new products are launched on time at desired cost
- Facilitate and provide technical support to align the business unit in efforts to become a wellness company
- Formulate marketing strategies to improve brand and category performance in a timely manner
To succeed in the New Product Development Scientist job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nutritional science or equivalent from any notable universities
- At least three to five years' working experience in marketing or product development within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent in communication and engagement skills
