Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Country Nursing Lead to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential dialysis-related nursing services in a chronic setting, ensuring the highest level of patient care. What you'll do:

As a Country Nursing Lead, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of all dialysis-related nursing services for End Stage Renal Disease patients in a chronic setting. You will supervise direct patient care activities, monitor vital signs, initiate and terminate dialysis treatments while ensuring accurate documentation. Your role will also involve analyzing patient assessments and laboratory data, communicating any concerns to the physician promptly. You will play a crucial role in educating patients and their families about renal disease, prescribed dialysis treatment, and its impact on their health. Your commitment to providing quality care in a considerate and respectful manner will contribute significantly to our client's mission.

  • Supervise and perform direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and patient treatments.
  • Analyze patient assessments, laboratory data and bring issues to the attention of the physician when concerns are noted.
  • Communicate all emergencies, patient life-threatening complications and related incidents to supervisor.
  • Assess patient and family learning readiness and provide appropriate information on renal disease, prescribed dialysis treatment, and medical regimen.
  • Provide dialysis therapy, including formulating dialysis plan per physician orders, verifying safety measures are in place and complied with.
  • Instruct patients on pre- and post-dialysis care.
  • Administer patient quality care in a considerate, respectful manner.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the patient’s short and long term plan of care.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Country Nursing Lead position is a registered general nurse with an active practicing certificate from the Malaysia Nursing Board. You should hold an approved nephrology nursing qualification or post-basic qualification for nephrology. Your intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point will be essential for creating presentations and managing patient data. Fluency in written and verbal English, with the ability to understand clinical/medical vocabulary, is a must. Physical fitness is also important as the role requires lifting up to 20 pounds unassisted and performing a moderate range of body motions.

  • Registered as a general nurse with Malaysia Nursing Board.
  • Current practicing certificate holder.
  • Holds an approved nephrology nursing qualification, post-basic qualification for nephrology.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point with ability to create presentations.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English with ability to understand clinical/medical vocabulary.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach with moderate range of body motions.
