What you'll do:

As a Senior Key Account Specialist, you will play an essential role in driving the success of the organisation’s vision care products across Malaysia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around building strong relationships with key accounts, developing strategic call plans tailored to each customer profile, and preparing compelling presentations that highlight the value of the product portfolio. You will leverage advanced CRM systems to track performance metrics and optimise inventory management while collaborating closely with internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain. By executing promotional campaigns and securing prime merchandising space in retail outlets, you will help increase market share and ensure customers receive exceptional service at every touchpoint. Your ability to provide operational support—including handling orders, returns, complaints, and credit matters—will be crucial in maintaining high levels of satisfaction among trade customers, distributors, retailers, and consumers. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail when reporting issues or complaints, and flexibility in taking on new challenges as they arise.

  • Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships with key account customers, consistently gathering valuable business intelligence to inform sales strategies.
  • Develop comprehensive daily call planning routines by understanding customer profiles and classifications within your designated territory.
  • Prepare persuasive selling presentations using proven techniques and ensure all necessary sales equipment is ready for impactful client meetings.
  • Master the use of CRM tools such as Salesforce to manage selling objectives, monitor inventory levels, and generate insightful sell-through status reports for assigned outlets.
  • Execute quarterly promotional objectives in alignment with marketing initiatives, utilising persuasive presentations to maximise product visibility.
  • Secure or maintain merchandising space in territory outlets by effectively promoting products with point-of-sale materials provided by Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Increase customer share of spend for products by analysing throughput trends and implementing targeted sales activities within your territory.
  • Provide operational support to customers by navigating administrative processes related to sales ordering, product exchanges, returns, consumer complaints, credit terms, and collections.
  • Promptly report any adverse events or product complaints to relevant internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company protocols.
  • Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned to support overall business objectives.

  • Fluency in both spoken and written English as well as Bahasa Malaysia enables you to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience in sales, key account management or customer-facing roles—preferably within healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors—demonstrates your capability for success.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing account revenue highlights your commitment to delivering results through collaborative efforts.
  • Experience managing key accounts or strategic customers is highly desirable for this role.
  • Familiarity with distributor networks, retailers or optical outlets provides valuable insight into the industry landscape.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce is advantageous for efficient territory management.
