GM of Malls

A notable retail MNC is currently recruiting for a GM of Malls job to lead their malls business.

About the GM of Malls Role:
The General Manager (Shopping Malls) develops strategic Mall plan and cascade this in a compelling way to the team to enhance the mall’s revenue and contribute to overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create synergy between stores and mall and seamless customer experience across channels
• Strengthen and build relationship with key tenants to continuously seize business opportunity to draw customers to shop at our stores
• Deliver income growth through strong trade plan, new trading ideas and set out the tenant mix so we have a complete range of services for customers
• Make company a shopping destination for everyone through compelling mall proposition based on insight
• Ensure all the malls operate efficiently and effectively and in compliant with health and safety standard for tenants and customers
• Build relationship with internal/external peer to share best practice, understand market trend and anticipate future Mall development to respond to the changes in trading environment and customer behaviour
• Constantly seek for ideas and way to improve the malls, enhance the business opportunities and simplify way of working for better performance and achieve KPIs target which still deliver audit standard

To succeed in this GM of Malls role, you must have good understanding of the property and retail industry, and must be able to communicate and liaise effectively and diplomatically with a diverse group of people.

Key Requirements:

• Master's and/or bachelor's degree in Management, Business or other related field
• At least 10 years' experience; currently a General Manager or Head of Leasing of shopping centre/s
• Senior level consultants from property consultancy firms specialising in retail/shopping mall segment can also apply
• Good contacts and networking with local and international retailers and brand owners
