General Manager (Timepiece Chain)

About the General Manager (Timepiece Chain) Role:
Reporting to the Regional Retail Lead, you will be responsible for overall success of all the retail outlets across Malaysia which include meeting financial and service targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing the market landscape and partnering internal stakeholders on developing a retail strategy
• Developing a business plan, including forecast on financial and return on investment; leading the implementation of the strategy, including setting up of retail stores, operations, systems and organisation
• Managing the performance of the retail business, focusing on key indicators such as profits, operational efficiency and consumer behaviour
• Periodically reviewing and updating the management on current trends, state of the business, and calibration needed to rapidly grow the business
• Actively participating in marketing initiatives, such as implementing brand agenda (visual merchandising, pricing, product mix), and establishing annual marketing and promotion plans

To succeed in this role, you will need to have adequate general management experience within the retail landscape.

Key Requirements:

• Should have prior general management experience holding profit-loss responsibilities
• Experience setting up multiple retail stores and good knowledge of the local market
• Background in marketing is an advantage
• At least seven to eight years in a management/leadership position
• Good leadership to motivate and rally a team
• Mass retail industry/consumer sales segment
