A global machinery and industrial solutions organisation is seeking a talented Chief Sales Officer (Machinery - German Speaking). In this job, you will be based in Malaysia.

About the Chief Sales Officer (Machinery - German Speaking) Role:
In this business critical role, you will take on a strategic role for the organisation to develop and drive the group’s sales strategy and oversee the respective group-wide sales activities. You will provide clear and aligned directions to the Head of Industries and Country Heads to craft key country-specific sales strategies. In addition, you will also be responsible for the group-wide strategic and central marketing strategy and activities which will support the group’s sales strategy and local sales activities. You will be a member of the Coordination Board of the organisation, reporting to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute group-wide sales strategy and drive execution of the country-specific sales strategies and activities to achieve the aligned goals of the organisation
• Review and create short- and long-term sales planning tools and processes and ensure implementation
• Establish key sales standards, processes, templates and supporting tools
• Devise and implement key sales KPIs for the group
• Account for the development and execution of the country specific sales strategy and activities which is aligned with the given industry and group targets
• Establish strategic sales and marketing action plans, segment analysis, customer-fit analysis and go-to-market analysis
• Account for country segment target fulfilment
• Develop strategic and central marketing to integrate into the operations of the group to support sales growth and business development
• Develop the group’s marketing strategy
• Identify, elaborate and exploit new sales and business opportunities to boost revenue and growth for each local country

To succeed in this Chief Sales Officer (Machinery - German Speaking) role, you must have prior experience in a similar leadership role within the industrial machinery sector and region coverage of Asia markets. Fluency in the German language is a requirement.

Key Requirements:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, finance, or engineering
• At least 20 years of overall experience with minimum of five years' work experience in a similar leadership position (e.g. Chief Sales Officer/Sales Director/Head of Sales/Regional Sales)
• Experience working in industrial machinery sectors or related industrial equipment is required
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in German and English due to the nature of the role
• Significant and proven work experience in an intense, fast-paced, and target-oriented business environment
• Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and growing a sales organisation for businesses
• Strong leadership skills
• Effective planning, analytical and implementation skills
• Goal-oriented, dynamic and a high sense of responsibility
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, ERP, CRM, planning and analysing applications
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Readiness to travel consistently locally and overseas
