About the Assistant Strategy Manager (Retail Chain) Role:
Reporting to the Head of Business Development in this critical role, you will shape long-term strategy and develop measures that realise business objectives. You will be tasked with assessing performance, developing achievable goals and implementing processes that improve organisational effectiveness and build a sustainable competitive advantage. You should be familiar with business operations and demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
- Prepare market strategy with the leadership team on new country development programmes
- Perform feasibility studies including partner alliances to ensure success of new markets including legal, local, government regulations and business setup process
- Identify new business opportunities with retail concepts/brands and negotiation with the leadership team
- Implement new standards, procedures relevant to the new market/country
- Perform competitor analysis, new retail site locations negotiations, liaise with malls and legal, etc.
- Regular international and local travel
To succeed in this Assistant Strategy Manager (Retail Chain) role, you must have research experience, an analytical mind and outstanding presentation skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Assistant Strategy Manager should be a strategic thinker with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Degree in business or a related field, MBA is preferred
- Two to five years of experience in business administration, management consulting or strategic planning in retail business or projects
