An exciting Senior Channel Sales Operations Lead job has just become available at leading technology company based in Penang.

This company is seeking a Senior Channel Sales Operations Lead to direct and grow company’s Sales Operations team in Asia Pacific, driving global business process optimization with ease of doing business mentality. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and control. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional management teams (including Sales, Business Unit, and Operations) to analyze business results, interpret data, and facilitate effective decision-making using performance metrics and trend analysis.

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Channel Sales Operations Lead, your responsibilities include partner with internal collaborators across functional teams and channel partners to drive process standardization, streamline documentation, implement review cadence to ensure policies and procedures adhere to company compliance requirements. This includes:

  • Become the Model N Subject matter expert of the Asia Pacific region.
  • Manage the Model N aspects of Channel Sales for such programs as end-of-life, inventory stock rotation, price protection, phantom inventory, and channel partner reporting continuity.
  • Partner with Distribution Sales to identify bottlenecks and gaps, driving ease of engagement mentality.
  • Work within Model N to identify, manage and implement system changes, automating where possible, to improve process effectiveness and business user productivity.
  • Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders of shifting priorities and projects.

What you bring:

The ideal Senior Channel Sales Operations Lead not only bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions. You must also possess the following:

  • More than 10 years of experience in any of the following or related fields: Business, Sales/Marketing, Finance
  • Proficient in English and Chinese-Mandarin (oral and written); additional languages are considered an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Power BI with the ability to manipulate and summarize large amounts of data using formulas/pivots.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail (project management experience a plus).
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and handle contending deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Focus on quality – do it right the “first time” mentality.
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office. Experience with ERP/CRM systems (ideally Model N, SAP, Salesforce.com) and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) a plus.
  • Must demonstrate a technical ability to learn new software tools.
  • Experience working in channel, distribution or with sales team, and knowledge of IT and Semiconductor Industry is a plus.
