What you'll do:
As a Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of property development. Your primary responsibility will be leading all aspects of property development from initiation until successful construction completion. You will also be tasked with conducting research and feasibility studies for future developments, managing land acquisition, overseeing design management, securing planning approvals, and ensuring the successful delivery of development projects. Your ability to develop strategic plans, manage finances effectively, collaborate with various stakeholders, and navigate through complex project issues will be crucial in this role.
- Develop and maintain a medium to long term property development strategy that supports organisational goals
- Prepare funding proposals and manage developments within budget to deliver targets on time and to quality standards
- Oversee all development purchasing and invoicing requirements
- Manage the preparation of masterplans, feasibility studies, development appraisals and planning assessments
- Collaborate with external consultants and stakeholders to support achievement of development objectives
- Ensure timely planning and approvals that adhere to budget to ensure project delivery schedules are met
- Manage and resolve project issues with internal/external stakeholders to appropriate outcomes
- Develop budget estimates and cashflows
- Oversee the negotiation of formal documentation such as development agreements, contracts of sale, construction contracts and other relevant legal documentation
