What you'll do:

As a Stakeholder Engagement Manager, your role will be pivotal in fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies, conducting thorough social impact assessments, and integrating stakeholder perspectives into project planning. Your ability to organise meetings, workshops, and events will be crucial in gathering valuable feedback from stakeholders. Additionally, you will monitor stakeholder engagement activities to ensure they align with organisational goals. Your expertise will also be relied upon to guide team members on best practices for stakeholder engagement.

• Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with the Penang state government, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.
• Conduct social impact assessments to evaluate the effects of projects and initiatives on local communities and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure stakeholder perspectives are integrated into project planning and decision-making processes.
• Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to engage stakeholders and gather feedback.
• Monitor and report on stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on best practices for stakeaker engagement and social impact assessment.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Stakeholder Engagement Manager position brings a wealth of experience in stakeholder management or public relations. With at least 5 years of experience under your belt, you have proven your ability to work effectively with the state government and NGOs. Your expertise in conducting social impact assessments sets you apart from others. You possess excellent communication skills which enable you to negotiate effectively while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships. Your project management skills are top-notch, allowing you to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines with ease. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be crucial in this role.

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in stakeholder management, public relations, or a related role.
• Proven experience working with the state government and NGOs.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting social impact assessments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
