About the Strategy and Insights Manager (Retailer) Role: Reporting to the VP of Business Development in this critical role, you will shape long-term strategy and develop measures that realise business objectives. You will be tasked with assessing performance, developing achievable goals and implementing processes that improve organisational effectiveness and build a sustainable competitive advantage. You should be familiar with business operations and demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies that align with the company's long-term goals and vision. Collaborate with senior leadership to create a clear roadmap for achieving business objectives
Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, consumer behaviours, and competitive insights. Stay updated on industry dynamics and provide recommendations to maintain a competitive edge
Data Analysis: Analyse data from various sources, including sales data, customer feedback, and operational metrics. Translate data into meaningful insights that guide decision-making
Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives. Provide regular reports to management to ensure goals are being met
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and operations, to align strategies and insights with the overall business strategy
SWOT Analysis: Conduct SWOT analyses to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the business, and use this analysis to guide strategic decision-making
Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of budgets for various projects and initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness
Innovation: Stay informed about industry innovations and emerging technologies that could impact the retail sector, and propose innovative solutions to improve operations
To succeed in this Strategy and Insights Manager (Retailer) role, you must have research experience, be an analytical mind and outstanding presentation skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Strategy and Insights Manager should be a strategic thinker with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Degree in business or related field, MBA is preferred
Three to five years of experience in business administration, management consulting or strategic planning
Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Outstanding research and analytical abilities
Project management skills
Strong leadership skills
