Our client is seeking a Senior Executive for Business Expansion in the retail sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, driving strategic expansion and store development initiatives. The successful candidate will have the chance to build mature relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate rental and tenancy terms, and ensure smooth store openings. This role requires a deep understanding of the retail fashion industry's laws, rules, and regulations.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Executive for Business Expansion in the retail sector, your role will be pivotal in driving the company's growth. You will be responsible for updating and maintaining crucial documents such as licenses and tenancy agreements. Your excellent communication skills will be put to use as you liaise with various parties including solicitors, local councils, store managers, and the finance department. Your negotiation skills will play a key role in securing favourable rental and tenancy terms for the company. Additionally, you will represent the company at various events such as store openings and corporate events.

  • Maintain and update licenses, tenancy agreements, insurance, and related matters.
  • Liaise with solicitors, local councils, and store managers for all documentation-related matters.
  • Communicate with finance department regarding billing issues, payments or other related inquiries.
  • Negotiate rental and tenancy terms for the company.
  • Attend store opening activities, mall-related corporate events, activities, and appointments.
  • Build mature relationships with landlords, developers, landowners, investors, bankers as a key representative of the company.
  • Ensure all internal and external SOPs and policies are observed.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Executive Business Expansion role will bring a wealth of experience from the retail management space. With a degree in retail/property management or real estate (or equivalent), you'll have at least three years experience under your belt. Your background should include exposure to retail leasing, strategic expansion, and store development. A wide network with developers, landlords, and retail property owners is essential. You're computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and have a strong understanding of the laws, rules, and regulations related to the retail fashion industry. Your ability to travel within the country and overseas will be crucial.

  • Degree in retail/property management, real estate or equivalent field.
  • At least 3 years of working experience within the retail management space.
  • Experience in retail leasing, strategic expansion, store development.
  • Wide network with developers, landlords, retail property owners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of laws, rules and regulation related to retail fashion industry.
  • Ability to travel within the country and overseas if required.
  • Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
