Our client is seeking a seasoned Regional Research and Development Manager to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a multinational company with regional exposures, and the chance to cross collaborate with various departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling product application projects, working closely with the Industrial Sales team, and building a strong external network with research and development experts.
What you'll do:
As a Regional Research and Development Manager, your role will be pivotal in managing product application projects. You will work closely with the Industrial Sales team to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. Your ability to build strong networks with research and development experts will be crucial in this role. Regular customer visits will be part of your responsibilities, during which you will establish solid contacts with Product Development, Operations, and Procurement teams. Your expertise will also be required in addressing technical queries, providing product recommendations, benchmarking local products, arranging samples, conducting trials, and providing troubleshooting support.
- Handle the product application projects
- Work hand in hand with Industrial Sales team
- Build strong external network with research and development expert
- Visit customers regularly and establish solid contacts with Product Development, Operations and Procurement teams
- Capture technical complaints of customers and facilitate their smooth resolution
- Address technical queries and provide product recommendations to the customers
- Benchmark local products, arranging samples and conducting trials
- Provide troubleshooting support to customers
- Work closely with Central R&D Product Development, Product Application and Sensory teams for NPD projects
- Communicate effectively with other teams
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Regional Research and Development Manager position brings more than 10 years of experience in an R&D department. Exposure in project management or sales would be advantageous. Leadership experience is preferred as you will be leading customer project funnel reviews and involved in technical presentations explaining products to customers. As this role involves 40% travel, flexibility is key.
