What you'll do:

As a Quality Engineer based in Shah Alam’s Air Technology Hub, you will be entrusted with safeguarding the integrity of both products and processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing advanced inspection plans tailored to specific product lines while continuously refining existing quality systems. You’ll conduct meticulous inspections at various stages—ranging from incoming materials to finished goods—ensuring each item meets stringent criteria. When non-conformances arise or customer claims are received, your analytical skills will be essential in managing RMA cases from start to finish. Your role also extends to supplier engagement; you’ll coordinate on corrective actions when needed to maintain high standards throughout the supply chain. Maintaining accurate documentation is crucial for audit readiness; you’ll prepare detailed records that support both internal reviews and external customer audits. Additionally, you’ll oversee laboratory equipment calibration schedules so that all measurements remain reliable. Through these varied responsibilities—and by responding proactively to field feedback—you’ll contribute significantly to continuous improvement efforts that enhance overall product performance.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive quality systems, inspection plans, and procedures that align with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Conduct thorough incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with detailed specifications and acceptance criteria for all materials and products.
  • Identify, document, and manage non-conforming materials, products, and processes by utilising systematic approaches to problem-solving.
  • Manage Return Material Authorization (RMA) cases from investigation through analysis, documentation, coordination with relevant teams, and closure to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform defect analysis and root cause investigations to define effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), preventing recurrence of quality issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering/R&D, Application, Procurement, and Logistics teams to resolve complex quality challenges while maintaining open communication channels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding quality concerns, corrective actions required, and supplier-related RMA cases to uphold supply chain integrity.
  • Prepare, maintain, and control all necessary quality documentation including inspection records, RMA reports, audit files, and related records for traceability.
  • Support internal audits as well as external customer audits by ensuring full compliance with audit protocols and customer requirements.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment as well as measurement tools are properly calibrated, maintained regularly, and used according to established quality standards.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in quality assurance or control within a manufacturing setting demonstrates your practical understanding of production environments.
  • Experience working with HVAC systems, motors or electronic components is highly desirable as it aligns closely with the company’s core operations.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards along with hands-on experience implementing quality management systems is essential for maintaining compliance.
  • Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis using structured methodologies such as 8D or Fishbone diagrams supports effective problem resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enable you to collaborate effectively across departments including Production, Engineering/R&D, Application teams as well as external suppliers.
