If you are passionate about making a tangible impact on product integrity and team capability, this is your chance to thrive in an environment that values expertise, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving.
- You will play a key role in shaping quality processes for a major food manufacturer, with direct responsibility for process validation, compliance audits, and technical investigations.
- This position offers significant scope for professional growth through coaching responsibilities, cross-functional collaboration, and involvement in strategic projects such as New Product Development and large-scale quality initiatives.
- Enjoy the opportunity to drive positive change by championing food safety culture, supporting team development, and influencing operational accountability for quality performance across all levels of the organisation.
What you'll do:
As a Quality Process Lead based in Petaling Jaya, you will be entrusted with overseeing comprehensive quality assurance processes within a dynamic food manufacturing environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around ensuring robust process control through validation testing, technical troubleshooting, and proactive management of deviations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—Production, Engineering, R&D—to integrate food safety requirements into every aspect of operations. By conducting detailed audits and capability studies, you will help maintain stringent compliance standards while also supporting new product development initiatives. Your role extends beyond technical oversight; you will actively coach QA Officers to build their competence and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Through your efforts in managing customer complaints, supporting laboratory operations during off-shifts, and driving root cause analysis for sustainable solutions, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of product safety and quality across the site.
- Lead all process validation and verification testing activities—including critical control points (CCPs), control points (CPs), and sanitation protocols—to ensure full compliance with global regulatory standards and internal requirements.
- Serve as the primary technical expert for troubleshooting complex quality or process issues, integrating food safety and quality requirements into all operational projects to safeguard product integrity.
- Plan and execute specialised process capability studies such as Thermal Distribution tests; present findings to the Process Authority for approval and documentation to support ongoing compliance.
- Manage investigations into significant process deviations by implementing immediate containment actions and preparing mandatory reports that protect product safety.
- Perform necessary product adjustments and operational calculations directly on production lines to maintain final product specifications according to established standards.
- Conduct regular GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) compliance audits to identify systematic gaps and drive closure of these gaps.
- Represent Quality Assurance in cross-functional line reviews, influencing operational teams to take ownership of quality performance through collaborative engagement.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of finished product disposition—including verifying compliance, authorising release, and managing withheld or on-hold inventory—to ensure only safe products reach customers.
- Lead investigations into customer complaints and internal non-conformances; ensure timely closure of issues while maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders.
- Provide operational support to the QC laboratory during night shifts by verifying calibration status, monitoring consumables, and ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
