The successful candidate will have oversight of the quality management and R&D responsibilities for plants. What you'll do:
As a Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of our products. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the implementation of quality systems at our Ipoh and Klang plants. You will also be tasked with leading quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency. In addition to these duties, you will spearhead the development of new products to meet market demands. Your expertise will be crucial in improving existing processes for enhanced product performance. Furthermore, you will drive initiatives focused on yield improvement within R&D operations.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and practices at both Ipoh and Klang plants.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, conducting internal checks and audits for quality assurance.
- Develop and lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce risks, and ensure consistent product quality.
- Implement methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and production equipment.
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement corrective actions.
- Address and resolve customer complaints, conducting thorough root cause analysis and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
- Lead the development of new products and formulations to meet market demands.
- Improve existing processes and protocols to enhance product performance and efficiency.
- Analyze, test, and approve new raw materials, updated product formulations, innovative manufacturing processes, and advanced testing methods.
- Drive initiatives focused on yield improvement and cost reduction within R&D and factory operations.
What you bring:
- The ideal candidate for this Quality Manager position holds an advanced degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. You bring along a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in quality management within the chemical industry or a related field. Your strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards will be crucial in this role. You have a proven track record of implementing successful quality systems and developing new products. Your excellent analytical skills will be key in identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. A willingness to travel occasionally to Klang is also required.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in quality management and R&D, preferably within the chemical or related industry.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
- Proven track record of successful quality system implementation and product development.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Klang to oversee quality operations.
