A well-established B2B food manufacturing and distribution company is recruiting for a Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Specialist job to ensure that all company products sold in the region comply with the regulatory requirements of respective markets.
About the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Specialist Role: In this Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Specialist role, you will add value to the customer and commercial team by providing timely food safety and quality information that are important in securing new accounts as well as maintaining high service levels with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate conformity of products with relevant food regulations concerning ingredients, additives, labelling, packaging, and halal considerations if applicable
Monitor and assess changes in food regulations, ensuring product alignment with updated standards
Support the preparation of product registration applications in nations mandating such registrations
Collaborate with the commercial team to comprehend and address customers' quality and food safety prerequisites, offering insights into the appropriate handling of company products for an optimal customer experience
Aid in the resolution of complaint cases by furnishing investigative reports to the sales team within specified time frames, while also monitoring and analysing complaint trends
Carry out audits on co-packers and co-manufacturers to ensure compliance to company standards
Provide training on McCain product quality, handling, sensory aspects, and related subjects to bolster internal stakeholders and external customers
To succeed in the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Specialist role, you must have prior experience in implementing QMS, conducting audits for food manufacturing facilities and knowledge on food regulatory affairs.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Manufacturing or equivalent
At least four years’ experience in working in the food manufacturing or F&B industry in a quality position
Proven track record on implementing and auditing quality management systems (QMS) such as Good Manufacturing Practise, HACCP and GFSI
Strong stakeholder management skills
Manage and lead multiple activities simultaneously
Experience working in a regional position would be an advantage
