Senior Manager, Development Planning (Mixed Development)

Are you ready to shape the future of large-scale property developments? We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Development Planning in Malaysia to lead the planning and pre-development phases of township and mixed-use projects.

What You’ll Do

As the Senior Manager, Development Planning, you will be at the forefront of shaping impactful property developments. Your key responsibilities include:

Development Planning & Coordination

• Lead site evaluation, master planning inputs, budgeting, and scheduling for large-scale projects.
• Translate development concepts into practical, compliant, and commercially viable plans.
• Coordinate across internal teams and external consultants (e.g., planners, architects, engineers) to ensure seamless execution of planning deliverables.

Feasibility Studies & Risk Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies assessing land use, development potential, infrastructure requirements, costs, and risks.
• Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure all planning deliverables progress according to schedule.

Authority Approvals & Compliance

• Manage end-to-end approval processes with local authorities and relevant agencies.
• Navigate planning requirements while ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines.
• Proactively manage submission timelines to avoid delays in project delivery.

Problem Solving & Stakeholder Engagement

• Anticipate challenges across different phases of the development lifecycle and propose actionable solutions.
• Maintain strong coordination across multiple workstreams while driving momentum toward project goals.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for an experienced professional who thrives in complex environments. The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
• Solid experience in development planning within established property developers.
• Hands-on exposure to large-scale or township developments with a strong grasp of planning guidelines and authority submission processes.
• Expertise in conducting feasibility studies and managing risk assessments for property developments.
