About the R&D Project Manager Role:
In this role, you will have broad authority and full responsibility for the business and technical success of the projects. This is a high-impact leadership position in a professional technical environment that will grow you as a professional and open doors to a variety of career opportunities throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be involved in business development whereby you will support the customer development process in winning new business independently and is directly responsible for developing repeat business with previous and/or current customers
• Proactively identify work packages or opportunities that should be work shared and works effectively cross-functionally
• Manage customer expectations regarding all aspects across full value stream projects and/or product commercialisation projects independently. This includes setting expectations for the challenges in developing products or test systems. Expectations shall also be managed regarding project scope, schedule, budget, risks, deliverables, and any changes to the original proposal
• Manage projects to successful financial execution with the goal of 100% conversion
• Effectively manage the team resources and lead successful programmes
• Partner with the engineering team to identify solutions to meet the customer's needs. It is also important to partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and third party suppliers to ensure the design are successfully introduced into production sites

The successful candidate must possess strong project management skills and knowledge of project management principles. In addition, you must have experience in product development or R&D background in manufacturing industry.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering or related field is required for this position
• A minimum of four years of technical project management experience is required
• Five years of experience in a Technical Lead Role will also be considered
• Excellent communication, leadership, organisational and decision-making skills
• An overall understanding of the product development and product realisation processes
• Ability to work in a matrix/cross-functional team environment
• Strong organisational and presentation skills
• Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Flexible and adaptable - resilient and able to manage ambiguity
