An exciting Project Engineer job has been made available by a leading solar company in Malaysia that specialises in the supply and installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

About the Project Engineer Role:
Functionally and administratively reporting directly to the Head of Project, this position plays a critical role in efficiently managing on-site operations, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring the safe and cost-effective execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take charge of day-to-day activities at solar project sites, including the scheduling and supervision of construction tasks
• Collaborate closely with the design and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment at the site
• Conduct thorough quality checks and inspections to guarantee that installations align with engineering and safety standards
• Swiftly address technical challenges and resolve any issues that may arise during project execution
• Establish effective communication and coordination with external stakeholders, such as local authorities and utility companies, to secure essential permits and approvals
• Monitor and report on project progress to the Project Manager
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations at the project site
• Provide support during testing and commissioning activities

To succeed in the Project Engineer role, you will need to have a minimum of three years of experience in managing solar system projects with familiarity with Solar PV systems and electrical installations.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective client interactions and internal collaboration
• Possess knowledge of solar PV system components, electrical systems, and construction practices
• Exemplify integrity, strong leadership and planning, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality
• Highly organised and adept at handling multiple concurrent projects
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in data-driven decision-making
• Excellent project management and organisational
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical approach to problem-solving
