What you'll do:

As Maintenance Operations Senior Manager in Johor’s advanced manufacturing environment, you’ll be at the centre of action—guiding your team through complex troubleshooting tasks on electro-mechanical assembly equipment while upholding rigorous safety standards.   • Engage directly with manufacturing equipment including station set-up and troubleshooting using hand tools, measurement devices, machine documentation, specialty gauges, and high-speed filming equipment.
  • Develop comprehensive training plans and materials; create preventive maintenance tasks; write SOPs; verify activities are performed according to documented instructions; lead root-cause investigations; deploy corrective actions; develop preventive measures; document improvement activities thoroughly in the maintenance database; communicate issues clearly to relevant stakeholders; report safety, quality, and regulatory concerns promptly; analyse situations requiring in-depth organisational knowledge; implement strategic policies when selecting methods or evaluation criteria; establish adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, performance requirements; perform other duties as required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required for this role.
  • Over ten years’ proven experience in maintenance, repair, and setup of complex electro-mechanical assembly equipment within high-volume production environments.
  • At least five years’ experience supervising or guiding maintenance teams engaged in repair and improvement activities in similar settings.
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong data analysis skills used for decision-making in energetic environments.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiarity with SAP or other computerised maintenance management systems is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude combined with technical ability—capable of reading technical drawings/manuals—and hands-on experience with assembly methodologies such as pneumatic actuators, servo motors, limit switches, sensors, robotics.
  • Technical knowledge of cam-driven linkages, discrete component assembly processes, automation systems; familiarity with HMIs/ GUIs (machine user interfaces).
  • Previous experience working in clean room environments within regulated industries such as consumer products or life sciences is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills coupled with attention to detail; strong organisational abilities; rigorous process discipline.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in daily work plans or unplanned equipment issues while maintaining productivity without compromising safety or quality.
