What you’ll do

As the Operation Director, you will oversee all aspects of operations and supply chain management at the Johor chemical plant, ensuring seamless workflows, cost-effective processes, and compliance with local regulations. Your role is pivotal in driving operational performance, financial results, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration across departments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Directing operations and logistics teams to optimize workflows, production schedules, and resource utilization.
• Ensuring continuity of supply while managing costs to maintain competitive advantage.
• Leading annual budgeting, capital planning, and strategic planning processes.
• Overseeing acquisition, installation, and modification of capital equipment and facilities.
• Implementing quality programs, ISO compliance, and risk management practices.
• Championing workplace safety standards and regulatory adherence.
• Providing strong leadership to Finance, HR, Production, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
• Developing talent through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Acting as the key liaison with regional leadership and external stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

To excel in this role, you’ll need a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership skills. You should have extensive experience in operations and supply chain management within manufacturing or industrial environments like the chemical industry.

Key qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field from an accredited university.
• 10 years of senior management experience in operations or supply chain within manufacturing/industrial sectors.
• Proven track record in plant management, procurement optimization, and cost control strategies.
• Strong financial acumen with proficiency in SAP or similar systems.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team development and stakeholder engagement.
