What you'll do:

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer in Selangor, you will be at the heart of keeping manufacturing equipment performing at its best through proactive planning and hands-on execution of essential maintenance activities. Your days will be filled with creating detailed schedules for preventive care, overseeing your team's progress, and implementing improvements that boost equipment reliability. • Design and roll out comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance plans that keep all machines running smoothly and efficiently, reducing downtime across the entire facility.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance activities promptly using available resources to ensure seamless operations without interruption.
• Continuously seek ways to enhance work methods by analysing performance data, aiming to reduce mean time between failure (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR), thereby elevating operational standards.
• Respond swiftly to emergency breakdowns with dedication to site reliability.
• Deliver expert technical solutions for machine breakdowns within your area of responsibility, ensuring rapid resolution with minimal disruption to production.
• Monitor critical spare parts usage closely and manage stock control effectively using PM tools integrated with CMMS systems.
• Champion a safe working environment by strictly adhering to safety regulations and striving for zero accidents in every task undertaken.
• Plan, coordinate, and drive process improvement initiatives related to equipment maintenance in line with engineering principles and company safety policies.
• Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule while fostering teamwork and mutual support.
• Contribute technical advice during process modifications or upgrades, collaborating with supervisors when changes may affect product quality or operational safety.

• At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in equipment and machinery troubleshooting within an industrial or manufacturing setting is essential for success in this role.
• A minimum of 2 years’ proven track record in developing and executing preventive maintenance programmes is necessary for this position.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively over at least 3 years is highly desirable for this opportunity.
• Experience participating in quality system processes for at least 3 years will be advantageous for candidates applying for this role.
• Proficiency with Siemens PLCs / SCADA systems is expected from applicants seeking this position.
• Familiarity with switching circuits, RF technology, or high-frequency oscillator circuits would be considered beneficial but not mandatory.
• Sound understanding of HSE procedures, rules, regulations, and COSHH requirements is important for maintaining workplace safety standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills combined with clear communication abilities are vital for collaborating successfully with colleagues at all levels.
• A collaborative approach with at least 5 years’ experience working effectively within teams is preferred.
