Factory Manager

Executive Summary Are you an experienced leader in manufacturing operations looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a Factory Manager to oversee the entire operations of a state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Selangor, Malaysia.

What You’ll Do
As the Factory Manager, you will be at the helm of the manufacturing site’s operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality across all functions. Your key responsibilities include:

Manufacturing Operations Management:

• Lead production and engineering teams to achieve daily operational targets and ensure consistent product supply.
• Monitor performance metrics while managing labour utilisation and plant-related costs to optimise efficiency.

Operational Excellence and Equipment Performance:

• Enhance plant productivity by improving equipment reliability and addressing downtime or bottlenecks.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, product quality, regulatory standards, and health & safety practices.

Continuous Improvement and Technology Adoption:

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement using structured problem-solving methods and best practices.
• Leverage digital tools and operational data to improve transparency and decision-making processes.

Engineering Projects and Team Development:

• Oversee engineering projects from planning to implementation, including introducing new processes or technologies.
• Develop leadership capabilities within the team through coaching, mentoring, and strengthening technical competencies.

Your leadership will play a pivotal role in driving long-term improvements that support business growth and supply continuity in the competitive Food Manufacturing industry.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for an accomplished professional with strong technical expertise and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automation) or Food Science; an engineering background is preferred.
• At least 12 years of experience in manufacturing environments with proven leadership exposure in production operations and engineering/maintenance functions. Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG industries is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant operations, and hygienic manufacturing environments (preferred).
• A track record of improving operational performance, increasing equipment reliability, and optimising costs through structured initiatives.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities combined with strong communication skills to inspire teams toward shared goals.
