You will also have the opportunity to research emerging technologies that can further elevate production profitability. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute directly to meeting delivery targets while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

  • Proactively identify and implement continuous improvements in quality and cost across all aspects of production operations, ensuring optimal performance at every stage.

  • Create and execute subassembly production plans that align seamlessly with final assembly schedules based on master planning requirements; ensure effective resource allocation to meet delivery targets consistently.
  • Develop, implement, and support systems aimed at achieving cost reductions, quality enhancements, productivity increases, inventory reductions, and service improvements through methodologies such as Assemble to Order, Build to Order, Kanban systems, new technology adoption, automated assembly processes, set-up reductions, supermarket concepts etc.

What you bring:

Your educational foundation—ideally rooted in engineering—will empower you to navigate technical challenges confidently while your mechanical acumen adds valuable depth. Having managed teams previously enables you not only to allocate resources judiciously but also foster an atmosphere of collaboration where everyone feels supported. Your familiarity with manufacturing information systems means you can interpret data accurately for decision-making purposes while Lean Manufacturing expertise allows you to streamline processes efficiently. Communication skills are crucial here; they ensure seamless interaction between local staff members as well as international colleagues from US or China divisions. You understand how important it is to invest in people through targeted training initiatives which build multi-skilled teams capable of responding flexibly during busy periods. Experience running preproduction projects showcases your project management abilities while strict adherence to compliance protocols highlights your reliability.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification is required; candidates with a mechanical background are especially encouraged to apply due to the nature of the role.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles along with Industrial Engineering practices ensures you can drive process improvements effectively.
  • Experience implementing Six Sigma methodologies or ISO9000 standards will be advantageous for maintaining rigorous quality controls throughout production cycles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are vital for liaising with internal stakeholders across different regions as well as external partners when required.
