EHS Manager (FMCG)

What you'll do:
As an Environmental Health and Safety Manager based in Klang Valley, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating a safe workplace where everyone feels protected and supported. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with teams across the site to ensure strict compliance with both internal policies and external regulations. You will act as a trusted advisor on all matters related to environmental health and safety—interpreting local laws, sharing best practices from around the world, conducting risk assessments tailored to specific operational needs, and designing practical solutions that keep people safe. By coordinating training programmes that engage staff at every level, you will help foster a culture of shared responsibility for safety. Your attention to detail will be essential in maintaining accurate records while your proactive approach will enable you to identify areas for improvement quickly. - Monitor and enforce full compliance with the Site Security Manual as well as all applicable Environmental Health and Safety regulations, ensuring every aspect of site operations meets rigorous standards.
- Uphold company values and standards by fostering a culture of safety, responsibility, and respect throughout all activities on site.
- Provide expert guidance on EHS matters, including interpreting Malaysian regulatory requirements, applying industry best practices, conducting thorough risk assessments, and developing practical strategies to address complex EHS-related issues.
- Ensure effective implementation of EHS policies, guidelines, and programmes across all departments, promoting consistent adherence to safety protocols.
- Serve as the site’s EHS Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting the development, delivery, and coordination of engaging EHS training sessions and initiatives for employees at all levels.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation and reporting of all EHS issues in accordance with compliance standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Identify any gaps in EHS performance or compliance and drive effective corrective actions to close them promptly while maintaining open communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Safeguard company assets, property, and resources by implementing robust security measures that protect both people and infrastructure.
- Ensure all employees and visitors comply fully with site security requirements by providing clear instructions, regular updates, and ongoing support.
What you bring:
To excel as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager in this multinational FMCG organisation located in Klang Valley, your proven track record should reflect deep expertise gained over at least ten years within the EHS field—ideally within large-scale or manufacturing settings. Your five years’ experience managing teams or projects will demonstrate your capacity for nurturing talent through supportive leadership. - Minimum 10 years of experience in the Environmental Health and Safety field within large-scale organisations or manufacturing environments is required for this position.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience overseeing EHS teams or projects demonstrates your ability to nurture talent while driving results through collaboration.

- Experience delivering engaging EHS training sessions helps build communal awareness while empowering colleagues at every level.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough risk assessments using collaborative approaches ensures practical solutions are developed together with stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills allow you to connect meaningfully with diverse teams while building relationships based on mutual respect.
