Production Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join their team.

What you'll do:

As a Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire production process. Your primary responsibility will be managing the production resources optimally while ensuring that manufacturing operations meet their KPIs. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing continuous improvement programs aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness, efficiency, yield, quality, 5S housekeeping, safety and high production standards. Your role will involve liaising with various functional departments such as customer service and planning, engineering, QA, warehouse and logistics to ensure daily operational requirements are met. Additionally, you will collaborate with QA to implement quality control programs that guarantee the finished products meet quality standards.

* Manage, plan and determine optimal utilisation of production resources and capacities to meet manufacturing/operations KPIs.

* Develop and implement continuous improvement program to improve cost effectiveness, efficiency, yield, quality, 5S housekeeping, safety and high production standards.

* Ensure good working discipline at Production areas.

* Control scrap from production processes.

* Ensure material arrangement for every production shifts.

* Liaise with all functional departments such as customer service and planning, engineering, QA, warehouse and logistic to ensure day to day operation requirement is met to the expectation.

* Analyse and provide solutions to production related issues to improve quality, yield and efficiency.

* Collaborate with QA to implements quality control programs that ensure the finished products meeting quality standards.

* Supervise facility personnel to ensure smooth operation and uninterrupted plant facilities.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Production Manager position brings a wealth of experience in managing production operations. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from a recognised university or related discipline. With at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role in production and facilities operations, you have honed your skills in managing teams and overseeing complex production processes. Your strong analytical abilities and troubleshooting techniques will be crucial in resolving production-related issues and improving quality, yield and efficiency. Your ability to communicate effectively in English and Malay will enable you to liaise with various departments and ensure smooth operations.

* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from recognized university or related discipline.

* At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role in production and facilities operations and in the related industry.

* Good computer skills such as MICROSOFT OFFICE and relational database.

* Ability to effectively communicate in English and Malay language.

* Strong analytical abilities and trouble-shooting techniques.

* Proven track record of effectively guiding and motivating teams.
