Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Process Engineer to join their team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your engineering skills in a dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for troubleshooting process problems, coordinating production issues, and participating in continuous improvement processes. With a focus on maintaining the highest process and product quality, this role is perfect for those who are familiar with SMT assembly processes and IPC standards. The successful candidate will also have the chance to collaborate with suppliers and work closely with cross-functional departments.

What you'll do:

As a Process Engineer, your primary responsibility will be troubleshooting process problems and providing both immediate fixes and long-term solutions. You will be instrumental in identifying root causes of non-conforming materials highlighted by production and implementing corrective & preventive actions. Your role will involve close coordination with the production line, providing technical assistance and support related to operational issues. You will also play a key part in continuous improvement processes, developing & documenting standard operating procedures, process flow charts, control plants & PFMEA. Your ability to communicate effectively and work closely with cross-functional departments will be crucial in resolving problems. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with suppliers to clarify inquiry requirements and discuss design specifications.

* Identify root causes, corrective & preventive actions for non-confirming materials highlighted by production

* Coordinate between production if issue link to production line

* Provide technical assistance and support related to operation issues

* Participate in continuous improvement processes

* Develop & document standard operating procedures, process flow chart, control plant & PFMEA

* Communicate, coordinate, work closely with cross functional departments (QA/Purchasing/ Engineering) in problem resolution

* Collaborate with the supplier to clarify inquiry requirements and discuss design specifications.

* Support & work with NPI engineer on new product introduction

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Process Engineer position brings a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent along with at least 2 years of related working experience in the SMT assembly processes field. Familiarity with IPC standards and experience in AOI operation/ line support activity will be highly beneficial. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) is required. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with the leadership ability to lead and focus on daily results.

* Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/ Electronic/ Industrial/ Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Electromechanical) or equivalent

* Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)

* At least 2 years related working experience in SMT assembly processes field

* Familiarity with IPC standards

* Experience in AOI operation/ line support activity (good to have)

* Strong team player with leadership ability to lead and focus on daily results
