Senior Lead Engineer, System / Applications Design Engineering

Our client is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer for their System and Applications Design Engineering team.

As a senior lead engineer, you will not only work independently on automation machinery design but also drive projects and lead a small team.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Lead Engineer in System/Application Design Engineering, your role will be multifaceted. You will be at the forefront of designing, researching, developing, and supporting applications for various automation projects. Your excellent analytical skills will be put to use as you interpret inputs from User Requirement Specifications (URS), determining key specifications for project proposals. You will take charge of system hardware and software setup for either PC based or PLC systems. Leading a small team, you will evaluate hardware and software based on project specifications. Your expertise in writing and debugging software programming will be crucial in designing Human Machine Interface (HMI) or Guided User Interface (GUI). Furthermore, you will develop the software architecture and platform while performing optimization. Collaborating with various teams such as R&D, Control Software Team, Electrical & Mechanical Team, Commissioning and Operating Team will be integral to completing projects and resolving problems.

* Design, research, develop and support applications for automation projects

* Analyse and interpret inputs from User Requirement Specifications (URS) to determine key specifications for project proposals

* Responsible for system hardware and software setup for either PC based or PLC system

* Lead the team in evaluating hardware and software based on project specifications

* Write and debug software programming, design Human Machine Interface (HMI) or Guided User Interface (GUI)

* Develop software architecture and platform, perform optimization

* Work collaboratively with R&D Teammate, Control Software Team, Electrical & Mechanical Team, Commissioning and Operating Team in the completion of projects and resolving problems

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Senior Lead Engineer role, you bring a wealth of experience in the Automation Line or Engineering field. Your proficiency in English, coupled with knowledge of other languages, will be beneficial in this global role. Your experience in machine vision programming or Artificial Intelligence (AI) will give you an edge. You have the ability to handle complex machinery programming with multiple software platforms and systems. Your experience in integrating hardware such as screw guns, dispense systems, pick-and-place robot applications, vision inspection system etc., is crucial. You hold a University Degree or College Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Information Technology (IT). With more than 8 years of relevant working experience, you are ready to take on this challenging role.

* Proven experience in Automation Line or Engineering field

* Proficiency in English language; knowledge of other languages is advantageous

* Experience in machine vision programming or Artificial Intelligence (AI) is beneficial

* Ability to handle complex machinery programming with multiple software platforms and systems

* Experience in integrating hardware such as screw guns, dispense systems, pick-and-place robot applications, vision inspection system etc.
