Application Engineer - SEA & Taiwan

What you'll do:

As an Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and developing bespoke solutions that meet our clients' unique needs. You'll conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs and provide recommendations for improvements or new installations. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering training programs and workshops to ensure customer proficiency. Supporting project implementation from initial design through to final deployment will be a key part of your role. Additionally, your insights from customer interactions will contribute significantly to product development and innovation.

* Act as the primary technical contact for enquiries, guiding customers in product selection, system design, and problem-solving.

* Develop tailored solutions to address client needs, considering operational requirements, environmental conditions, and budget constraints.

* Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs, assess existing setups, and provide recommendations for improvements or new installations.

* Deliver training programs and workshops to customers, ensuring their teams are proficient.

* Support project implementation from the initial design phase to final deployment.

* Provide market feedback and insights gathered from customer interactions to product management and R&D teams.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Application Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in application engineering or technical support within the automation industry. You possess strong technical knowledge of feeding units, robotic handling, electric automation systems. Your familiarity with industry standards, automation protocols, and safety laws in Southeast Asia and Taiwan sets you apart. Proficiency in using CAD software, PLC programming, Fieldbus commissioning is essential. Above all else, your excellent communication skills enable you to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

* 3-5 years of experience in application engineering, technical support, or a similar role within the automation industry.

* Strong technical knowledge of feeding units, robotic handling, electric automation systems.

* Familiarity with industry standards, automation protocols, and safety laws in Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

* Proficiency in using CAD software, PLC programming, Fieldbus commissioning.

* Excellent communication skill with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
