On behalf of our client, we are in search of a committed and knowledgeable Engineer for Technical Support.

You will be tasked with providing support for product installation and setup, managing printer service, troubleshooting, and repairs, both in-house and on-site. Your dedication to resolving field issues during deployment and providing comprehensive education for distributors, customers, and internal teams will be key to your success in this role.

What you'll do:
As an Engineer for Technical Support, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' technical needs. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Sales team to develop, optimise, and design solutions that align with the company's mission and values. You will also be tasked with making critical engineering decisions to support technical enquiries and product recommendations. Your expertise will be vital in developing and maintaining a comprehensive Trouble Shooting Manual. Additionally, you will provide product installation and setup support to customers and distributors while ensuring all printer services are effectively managed.
* Support Sales to develop, optimise and design solutions consistent with company mission, values and financial objectives.
* Make necessary engineering decisions to support technical enquiry, product selection and recommendation.
* Develop and maintain Trouble Shooting Manual.
* Provide products installation & setup to customers & distributors.
* Responsible for printer service, problem solving & repairs.
* Ensure field issues are resolved during deployment.
* Document all service activities & compile tracking report / update on timely basis.
* Provide technical/Product education, application education & maintenance education.
* Resolve technical issues and provide printer support per customer service contract.
* Identify customer’s needs and new sales opportunities.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Engineer for Technical Support position brings a wealth of experience in equipment problem solving and repair. With a degree in Mechanical/Electronics/Industrial/IT/Engineering Management or related fields, you have spent at least two years honing your skills in equipment problem solving & repair. Your strong technical background in equipment/automation/software/facility & equipment maintenance sets you apart from others. Your excellent command of English, both written and spoken, coupled with your experience with thermal transfer printers, barcode/RFID scanners and applications software, will be highly beneficial in this role. Your ability to manage projects effectively and work well within a team will be crucial to your success.
* Degree in Mechanical / Electronics / Industrial / IT / Engineering Management.
* Minimum 2 year working experience in equipment problem solving & repair.
* Experience in key industries such as Pharma, Automotive, Electronics.
* Strong technical background in equipment / automation / software / facility & equipment maintenance.
* Good written & spoken English. Other languages will be an advantage.
* Experience with thermal transfer printers, barcode/RFID scanners and applications software would be an advantage.
* Good project and time management skills.
* Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills.
