You will be hands-on in identifying challenges during new product development and ensuring compliance with all corporate engineering standards. What you'll do:
As a New Product Development Engineer, you will be instrumental in steering the design and development process within the organisation. You will have the chance to make substantial contributions to the creation of innovative connector solutions. Your attention to detail will enable you to spot potential issues during the product development phase and tackle any quality concerns that may arise. Your dedication to adhering to corporate engineering standards will ensure consistency and quality in all projects you undertake. Working closely with various teams across the organisation, you will review opportunities and develop detailed engineering cost analyses based on Product Scopes.
* Drive design and development within New Product or Sustaining Product Engineering
* Play a key role in the design, development, and validation of connector solutions
* Identify challenges during new product development and address quality concerns promptly
* Ensure strict adherence to all corporate engineering standards including documentation, file management, part modelling, and part simulation
* Work closely with various teams to review opportunities and develop comprehensive engineering cost analyses based on Product Scopes
* Ensure compliance with lifting requirements
What you bring:
As a New Product Development Engineer, you bring valuable experience in connector design/manufacturing. Your proficiency in MS Office Applications will aid in efficient project management and communication. Your background in electrical connector design, plastic injection molding, and progressive die stamping sets you apart as an expert in your field. Familiarity with Engineering Design Software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD is essential for this role. While not mandatory, understanding of Simulation Software like FEA and CFD/Thermal Modelling would be advantageous. Physical fitness is also important as this role requires lifting up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
* Experience in connector design/manufacturing

* Knowledge of Engineering Design Software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD
