What you'll do:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be at the heart of our client's operations. Your primary role will involve planning, directing, and coordinating project activities while serving as the main point of contact for customers. You will showcase your ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining excellent communication with your project team, functional departments, peers, and customers. Your leadership skills will be highlighted as you provide necessary support to your peers and embrace additional roles and responsibilities. You will also manage risks and opportunities related to your assigned projects while understanding the needs and expectations of interested parties.
* Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities ensuring goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget.
* Consistently demonstrate successful performance on multiple projects concurrently.
* Communicate effectively with project team, functional departments, peers and customers.
* Provide necessary support to peers and entire department during absence.
* Embrace additional roles and responsibilities as needed.
* Manage risks and opportunities related to assigned projects.
* Understand the needs and expectations of interested parties, the consequences of failure and their impact.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Project Manager position brings a wealth of experience in managing custom automation projects. With a degree in Engineering or Project Management (or equivalent), you have spent at least five years honing your skills in this field. Your process data analytic skills set you apart from others, as does your PMP certification or equivalent training. Your excellent communication skills allow you to negotiate effectively for positive results. You're able to manage projects without supervision, demonstrating strong leadership skills when leading project teams and resolving conflicts. Your experience managing cross-functional project teams is significant, and your computer skills are strong, particularly with MS Office and MS Project.
* Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of training and experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a wide variety of custom automation projects.
* Possess process data analytic skills.
* PMP certification or equivalent training is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
* Strong negotiating skills to influence positive results.
* Ability to manage projects without supervision.
* Good leadership skills to lead the project team and resolve conflicts.
* Significant experience in managing a cross-functional project team.
* Strong computer skills — MS Office, MS Project.
