Our client is seeking a dedicated Quote Specialist to join their dynamic Business Development team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take charge of the cost processes for new projects, developing pricing methodologies, conducting cost analyses, and ensuring competitive pricing. What you'll do:
As a Quote Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our client's Business Development department. Your primary responsibility will be managing all cost processes for new projects. This includes developing pricing methodologies, reviewing drawings and quote packages, coordinating RFQ activities, and performing detailed cost analyses. You will also be tasked with identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and ensuring all proposals comply with relevant regulations. This role requires a high level of resilience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Develop pricing methodologies, matrix and cost analysis for every new project kick-off.
- Review drawings and quote package, identify BOM make/buy logic, assign items commodity and launch RFQ package to SCM team.
- Coordinate and manage RFQ activity per assigned project through liaising with various departments.
- Calculate the possible value of the cost components of each part of the new products BOM at various stages of product development.
- Perform cost analysis on quotes from suppliers to ensure competitive price and quote accuracy.
- Prepare quote/cost summary for team review prior to submission.
- Conduct cost analyses of the Bill of Material (BOM) to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure required cost proposals and supporting documents are prepared timely, accurately and are in compliance with solicitation.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Quote Specialist position brings a minimum of one year's experience in a Costing or Procurement Engineering role, preferably within the Electronics and Manufacturing industry. You should hold at least a Degree or Diploma qualification. As an individual, you are known for your resilience and your strong analytical skills. You are comfortable dealing with numerical data and have experience in reading technical drawings and secondary processes.
- Minimum Degree or Diploma qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience within a Costing or Procurement Engineering role.
- Experience within the Electronics and Manufacturing industry is ideal.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of resilience.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort dealing with numerical data.
- Experience in reading technical drawing and secondary process.
