What you'll do:
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting the ongoing development of AFM systems and hardware. Your main focus will be on the design, integration, testing, and release of precision opto-electro-mechanical assemblies and products. You will define engineering requirements for new projects, perform mechanical design and analysis using 3D CAD (SolidWorks), prepare detailed component and assembly drawings, create prototypes, support system integration, evaluate performance of designs, lead technical troubleshooting efforts, author comprehensive engineering reports, generate Bill of Materials for projects, create user documentation such as facilities and installation requirements, and support sustaining engineering activities.

* Perform mechanical design and analysis using 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
* Actively participate in design reviews
* Prepare detailed component and assembly drawings
* Create prototypes and support system integration
* Evaluate performance of designs and lead technical troubleshooting efforts
* Author comprehensive engineering reports
* Generate Bill of Materials for projects
* Create user documentation such as facilities and installation requirements
* Support sustaining engineering activities
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in precision mechanical design using 3D CAD (SolidWorks). You have worked with semiconductor manufacturing equipment design or factory automation. Your knowledge of GD&T sets you apart from others. You are known for your ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Your creative thinking coupled with your commitment to quality is evident in your work. You possess clear verbal and written English communication skills. Experience with ePDM or other CAD data management systems would be a plus, as would experience with precision motion control, optical fixturing techniques and electromechanical systems integration.
* Experience with precision mechanical design and 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
