What you'll do:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing products and systems that meet specific process requirements. You will utilise your knowledge of engineering principles to select or design tools that meet stringent specifications. Your ability to specify system components or direct modifications of products will ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. You will also create models of alternate processing methods to test the feasibility of new applications of system components. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to effectively inspect and evaluate field installations.
* Develop products and systems to meet process requirements using engineering principles.
* Select or design tools to meet specifications using manuals, drafting tools, computer, and specialised software programs.
* Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
* Create models of alternate processing methods to test feasibility of new applications of system components.
* Inspect and evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate product malfunctions.
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties, diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations.
* Modify design to obtain specified functional and operational performance.
* Research and analyse data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
* Determine parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule required to maintain machines and equipment in prescribed condition.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Mechanical Design Engineer position is someone who holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. You should have at least 2 years' experience in mechanical engineering or related industries. Proficiency in CAD Software (preferably SolidWorks) is essential for this role. You should also be comfortable using Microsoft Applications. Excellent communication skills are crucial for this role; you must be able to communicate effectively in English with co-workers and customers via emails and phone.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 2+ years experience in mechanical engineering or industry-related roles.
* Participation in the design of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
* Proficiency in CAD Software (SolidWorks preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English with co-workers and customers via emails and phone.
