Our client is on the hunt for a seasoned and dynamic Managing Director (Medical Device) to spearhead their operations in Malaysia to be based in Penang. The successful candidate will be entrusted with crafting and implementing operational management strategies, providing comprehensive leadership in all facets of operations. This encompasses employee relations, quality assurance, manufacturing, financial performance, sales & marketing, and product/services development.
What you'll do:
As a Managing Director, you will guide and oversee current and new business activities by developing innovative solutions to deliver business results. You will formulate, drive, and optimise the effectiveness of the business plan in different phases of business development, project management, and operational management. You will also contribute in a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the Code of Business Conduct, the GMP, Lean principles, and other directives.
- Craft plans and strategies to meet customer needs and maximise profit
- Assume legal responsibility for compliant operation of Malaysia facilities and employees
- Take P&L responsibility for the sustainable growth of the Malaysia business
- Ensure operational objectives are aligned with business targets
- Guarantee compliance of operational standards are well implemented and maintained
- Collaborate with Sales team to support sales growth and outcomes of the business
- Identify target market, growth opportunities and formulate the business strategy for the business in Malaysia
- Manage and mentor leadership team, evaluate and upgrade talents as required
- Steer operations across six processing facilities in Malaysia
- Craft and implement operational management strategies
- Provide comprehensive leadership in all facets of operations
