What you'll do:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the improvement of workstation and production line layouts, space utilization, and methods through interactive participation with assemblers, technicians, and engineers. You will identify, recommend, and implement manufacturing processes, alternative manufacturing techniques, equipment, material handling, and storage techniques for efficient material flow through manufacturing. Your expertise will be crucial in solving product issues while optimizing functionality and quality within the applicable cost and schedule constraints.
- Coordinate activities related to the definition, development, and introduction of new products into manufacturing.
- Recommend and implement improvements to manufacturing work identification, process documentation, and results reporting methods.
- Maintain and control all Engineering product documents.
- Solve product issues with emphasis on optimizing functionality and quality within applicable cost and schedule constraints.
- Fabricate and test run of production moulds and jigs/fixtures before handover to production for mass production.
- Ensure meeting volume, delivery, DPPM target IQC/ OQC, yield, productivity and take-out –cost.
- Project future space and equipment requirements based upon business plans and forecasts.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Manufacturing Engineer position brings a wealth of knowledge in manufacturing bill of material (B.O.M), process development. Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, DFMA, PCP, process documentation, and reporting systems. Your computer literacy coupled with your problem-solving skills will be essential in this role. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and failure analysis is highly desirable. Experience in Printer Assembly or Project Management would be an added advantage.
- Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Material with minimum 02-3 years related experience or Diploma in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Material Engineering with minimum of 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing bill of material (B.O.M), process development. Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, DFMA, PCP, process documentation and reporting systems.
- Computer literate.
- Possess problem-solving skill, good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and failure analysis.
- Experience in Project Management would be additional advantage.
