What you'll do:
As a Senior IT Engineer (Cyber Security), your role will be pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our client's IT infrastructure. You will be tasked with regularly reviewing and updating IT security policies, as well as coordinating both quarterly and annual audit assessments. Your expertise will also be required to handle queries, propose improvements on audit findings, and conduct monthly reviews of IT system security logs. Furthermore, you will collaborate with various technical teams to design, implement, and maintain endpoint security solutions. Lastly, your responsibilities will include managing and supporting Firewall, NDR, EDR solution, among other related information security solutions.
- Review, update and recommend improvements on IT security and risk management related policies and procedures.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual audit assessments carried out by internal and external auditors.
- Handle requests/queries and propose improvements on any audit findings pertaining to operational lapses.
- Conduct periodic and independent monthly review of IT systems security logs and audit logs.
- Work with various internal and external technical teams in designing, implementing and maintaining endpoint security solutions.
- Manage, administrate and support Firewall, NDR, EDR solution and other related information security solutions.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior IT Engineer (Cyber Security) position will bring a wealth of knowledge from their academic background in Computer Science or Information Technology. With at least three years' experience in the fields of IT Security or Network Compliance under your belt, you'll have developed a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and risk management. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CISA or Security Plus would be advantageous. Crucially, you should have hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewall. Your ability to work both independently and as part of a team, coupled with your commitment to meeting project deadlines, will be key to your success in this role.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- At least 3 years working experience in IT Security, Compliance or Network field.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscape and risk management.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CISA, Security Plus or equivalent are a plus.
- Knowledge and experiences in Palo Alto Firewall is required.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to meet project deadlines.
