Our client is seeking a Sr IT Engineer (SAP) to join their dynamic team in Penang.

What you'll do:
As a Sr IT Engineer (SAP), your role will be pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of our client's business processes. You will take charge of the SAP support process, working closely with end users to identify potential improvements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing daily production SAP support activities, providing crucial assistance during finance quarter/month end closing periods, and coaching end users. Your involvement in ISMS and ITGC audits, as well as participation in various projects, will further enhance your skills and experience.
- Own the SAP support process from initiation to resolution in a timely and effective manner
- Work closely with end users to identify gaps in the process or system for improvement purposes
- Perform daily production SAP support activities including resolving production SAP related issues, Camstar integration SAP issues, B2B issues
- Provide SAP support on production and finance related issues before month end to ensure a smooth month-end close
- Coach and conduct training to end users whenever needed
- Involve in ISMS and ITGC audit
- Participate in projects as and when required
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Sr IT Engineer (SAP) position brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. With at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields, you have developed strong analytical and troubleshooting skills over at least 3 years of SAP experience. Your understanding of manufacturing business processes allows you to provide valuable insights into system improvements. Your functional experience in one or more SAP modules such as MM/PP/WM sets you apart from others.
- Possession of at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve SAP issues
- At least 3 years of SAP experience in relevant fields
- Good understanding of manufacturing business processes
- Functional experience in at least 1 or more of these SAP modules: MM/PP/WM
